Included in the photograph are; Gerry Bredin, Roger Fox, Geraldine Sharkey and Willie Donnellan. We thank Mr. Bredin ever so much for his generous sponsorship. New Athletic Tops
The new Tops were worn for the first time at the County Athletic Finals in Roslevan on Saturday last, June 30th. They proved to be very popular with the children, and again were supplied by Sportszone, Tuam,Co.Galway

Is This A First? Ennis St. Johns Community Games have four members of the one family travelling to the National Athletic Finals at Mosney in late August. They are members of the Chesser family, who reside at Glenina, Ennis. Patrick is a member of the U/12 Relay Team. Kevin and Eamon are on the U/14 Relay Team, while Dara is on the U/16 Relay Team and is also the Clare representative in the Marathon. To the best of our knowledge no area has ever had four members of the one family competing at Mosney before. The committee and members of Ennis St. Johns Community Games wish them every success in their events, and indeed offer best wishes to all the Ennis representatives.

Ennis Goes To Calcutta
On purchasing new tops we had a surplus of small vests and on hearing that
our Chairman, Joe Lynch was travelling to Calcutta to work with the "Street
Children", Geraldine Sharkey suggested that he might take the tops with
him and distribute them to some "less well off" children. Joe, his
daughter Grainne and some friends set off with the said tops . The day after
they arrived there was many smiling children around as you can see from the
pictures on our new website.
